David DeVelder has over 25 years of experience working in affordable housing development. He is currently a senior underwriter for IFF, a CDFI lending institution working in the Midwest. Previously he was the Director of the Dwelling Place Community Land Trust, the Director of Development of the Kent County Land Bank, and the Director of Real Estate Development and Management for ICCF Community Homes. David is looking forward to utilizing his experience in real estate and housing to build a strong and vibrant community to provide much needed affordable housing for deserving individuals and families in West Michigan.

Pastor Jon Sherrill is the Lead Pastor at Fifth Reformed Church. His role is to discern where the church needs to go, where to invest, and to determine the kinds of conversations that are needed within the church. Then he provides vision and perspective to chart the leadership process and the steps to move the community from here to there. As part of his leadership, he has foregrounded the long partnership the church has had with Family Promise of West Michigan. As an anchor congregation since 1997, Fifth Reformed serves families experiencing homelessness with food and shelter while they work with Family Promise to find a permanent home. Supporting the families with Family Promise is a key pillar for the church.

Pastor Brian Telzerow is the Pastor of Congregational Life at Fifth Reformed Church. He is a connector and developer. His role is to help people connect to Christ and to one another. He supports the church’s existing ministries, and creates new educational programs, community groups, and opportunities to serve beyond the church family. He walks everyday with those experiencing loss and hardship and knows that having a home is a necessity to building a stable life.
